These Terms of Use (the "Terms") govern access to and use of The Friday Five website, newsletters, emails, dashboards, reports, scoreboards, educational materials, paid subscriptions, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
The Service is operated by NLSV LLC, doing business as The Friday Five ("The Friday Five," "we," "us," or "our").
By accessing the Service, creating an account, subscribing to an email list, or purchasing a paid plan, you agree to these Terms and the documents incorporated into them, including our:

Do not use the Service if you do not agree.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a binding agreement to purchase a paid subscription. The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
You may use the Service only in compliance with applicable law.
2. What The Friday Five provides
The Friday Five is a financial education and market-commentary publication. Depending on the plan and issue, the Service may include:
- Weekly or monthly market summaries.
- Educational explanations of financial concepts.
- Stock-performance rankings and scoreboards.
- Company, industry, sector, catalyst, risk, and market research.
- Watchlists, model scenarios, and illustrative entry, exit, target, or risk levels.
- Free and paid articles, newsletters, PDFs, dashboards, and alerts.
- Links to third-party tools, products, websites, or services.
Features, publication schedules, formats, and availability may change. We may correct, update, suspend, or discontinue part of the Service, subject to applicable law and any rights stated in the Subscription & Cancellation Policy.
3. General and impersonal information only
The Service provides general financial education, impersonal research, and commentary intended for a broad audience. Content is not tailored to your portfolio, income, net worth, tax status, objectives, time horizon, experience, or tolerance for risk.
The Service does not create an investment-adviser, broker-client, fiduciary, attorney-client, accountant-client, or tax-adviser relationship. We do not make investment decisions for you, access your brokerage account, execute trades for you, or take custody of your funds or securities.

4. Your responsibility
You are solely responsible for your financial decisions. Before acting, you should independently verify information, assess whether an investment is appropriate for you, and consult appropriately licensed professionals when necessary.
Quotes, rankings, model levels, targets, stops, and other market information may become outdated quickly. Your execution price, fees, taxes, liquidity, slippage, and results may differ materially from anything shown in the Service.
5. Accounts and security
You agree to provide accurate information and keep it current. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for activity under your account.
Unless a plan expressly permits multiple users, each paid account is licensed to one individual. You may not share credentials, sell access, or allow unauthorized persons to use your subscription.
Notify us promptly at hello@thefridayfive.org if you suspect unauthorized access.
6. Paid subscriptions
Paid subscriptions are governed by the Subscription & Cancellation Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms. Before purchase, the checkout page will display the plan price, billing interval, renewal terms, and cancellation information.
You authorize us and our payment processor to charge the payment method you provide for the amounts disclosed at checkout, including recurring charges until cancellation, subject to applicable law.
7. Acceptable use
You may not:
- Use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or deceptive conduct.
- Share, republish, resell, sublicense, or publicly distribute paid content except with written permission.
- Scrape, crawl, harvest, copy, or systematically extract content or data except as allowed by law or a written agreement.
- Circumvent a paywall, access control, rate limit, or security measure.
- Use bots or automated systems in a way that burdens or disrupts the Service.
- Misrepresent The Friday Five content as your own research or advice.
- Remove copyright, trademark, attribution, disclosure, or risk notices.
- Use the Service to manipulate a security, coordinate deceptive trading activity, or disseminate false information.
- Upload malware or attempt unauthorized access to any account, system, or data.
- Use paid content to train, fine-tune, evaluate, or populate a commercial artificial-intelligence system without written permission.
We may suspend or terminate access for conduct that violates these Terms or threatens users, the Service, or third parties.
8. Intellectual property and license
The Service and its original text, graphics, rankings, layouts, reports, methodologies, logos, code, and compilations are owned by or licensed to NLSV LLC and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
We grant you a limited, revocable, nonexclusive, nontransferable license to access and use the Service for personal, noncommercial purposes during your authorized access period.
You may share public links and brief excerpts with clear attribution, provided the excerpt does not substitute for the original work or disclose paid content.
"The Friday Five," associated logos, and related branding may not be used without written permission.
9. User submissions
When you submit feedback, comments, corrections, questions, or other material, you represent that you have the right to provide it and that it does not violate law or third-party rights.
You grant us a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use submissions to operate, improve, and promote the Service. We will handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
Do not send confidential financial account information, passwords, private keys, social security numbers, or other highly sensitive information through ordinary forms or email.
10. Third-party content and services
The Service may rely on or link to exchanges, company filings, data vendors, news sources, analytics services, payment processors, advertisers, brokers, and other third parties.
We do not control third-party services and do not guarantee their accuracy, availability, security, or practices. A link or mention does not necessarily constitute an endorsement. Third-party terms and privacy policies apply to your use of those services.
11. Positions, affiliates, and sponsorships
The Friday Five, its owners, employees, contractors, contributors, or affiliates may hold or trade securities discussed in the Service and may have interests that differ from yours. We may also receive compensation from advertisers, sponsors, or affiliate partners.
Material relationships and known positions will be disclosed as described in our Affiliate & Sponsorship Disclosure. Issue-level disclosures should be reviewed before acting on an article.
12. Corrections
We strive for accuracy but errors can occur. We may correct or update content without prior notice. Material corrections will be handled under our Corrections Policy.
13. No warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, complete, accurate, timely, error-free, or suitable for a particular purpose.
We do not guarantee any investment outcome, profit, return, target, stop execution, market forecast, ranking, or level of performance.
Some jurisdictions do not permit certain warranty exclusions, so portions of this section may not apply to you.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, NLSV LLC and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, contributors, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; lost profits; lost opportunities; trading losses; loss of data; or business interruption arising from or related to the Service.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising from the Service will not exceed the greater of:
- The amount you paid to The Friday Five during the six months before the event giving rise to the claim; or
- One hundred U.S. dollars.
This limitation does not apply where prohibited by law or to liability that cannot legally be limited.
15. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless NLSV LLC and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, and service providers from claims, liabilities, damages, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of third-party rights.
16. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. Cancellation of a paid plan is governed by the Subscription & Cancellation Policy.
We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address nonpayment, fraud, security threats, unlawful conduct, repeated infringement, account sharing, or material violation of these Terms. When appropriate and legally required, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and dispute provisions, will survive.
17. Governing law and disputes
Before filing a formal claim, contact hello@thefridayfive.org and provide a written description of the dispute and requested resolution. The parties will attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for 30 days.
Except where applicable law requires otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any permitted court proceeding will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois, and each party consents to that jurisdiction and venue.
Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking eligible relief in small-claims court or seeking emergency relief for misuse of intellectual property, account compromise, or security threats.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The revised page will display a new "Last updated" date. We will provide additional notice of material changes when required by law, such as by email, account notice, or a prominent website notice.
Changes will apply prospectively from the stated effective date. Your continued use after that date constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
19. General provisions
If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or transfer of the Service.
These Terms and the incorporated policies constitute the agreement between you and NLSV LLC regarding the Service, except for any separate written agreement signed by both parties.
