This policy explains billing, automatic renewal, cancellation, access, trials, price changes, and refunds for paid The Friday Five plans. It forms part of the Terms of Use.
1. Plans and prices
The Friday Five may offer free, monthly, annual, promotional, founding-member, team, or other plans. The current price and included features will be shown before purchase.
Sample plan display:
- Monthly: $12 per month, billed automatically each month until canceled.
- Annual: $120 per year, billed automatically each year until canceled.
Taxes may be added where required. Prices displayed at checkout control over examples on this page.
2. Automatic renewal
Unless the checkout page clearly states otherwise, paid subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period until canceled.
By purchasing, you authorize NLSV LLC and Stripe to charge the payment method on file for the disclosed recurring price, applicable taxes, and any price change accepted or implemented with legally required notice.
3. Trial and promotional offers
When a trial or introductory offer applies, checkout will state:
- The length of the trial or promotional period.
- The amount, if any, charged at enrollment.
- The date recurring billing begins.
- The recurring price and interval after the offer.
- How to cancel before being charged.
Unless canceled before the stated conversion date, the plan will convert to the paid subscription shown at checkout.
4. Billing dates and failed payments
Your first billing date is shown at checkout. Renewals generally occur on the corresponding date of each billing period, subject to payment-processor timing and calendar variations.
If a charge fails, we or our payment processor may retry the charge and notify you. Access may be limited or suspended until payment is completed. You remain responsible for authorized amounts incurred before cancellation.
5. How to cancel
You may cancel recurring billing at any time through:
- Account: Sign in, open Settings → Billing → Manage Subscription, and select Cancel Subscription; or
- Support: Email hello@thefridayfive.org from the address associated with your account and request cancellation.
Online subscribers should be able to cancel online without calling. Cancellation is complete when the account page or support response confirms it.
Cancellation stops future renewal charges. Unless otherwise stated, you retain access through the end of the already-paid billing period.
Deleting the app, unsubscribing from marketing email, failing to use the Service, or removing a payment method does not by itself cancel a paid subscription.
6. Refunds
Except where required by law or stated at checkout:
- Subscription charges are nonrefundable after access to paid content has begun.
- We do not provide prorated refunds for unused time after cancellation.
- We will review duplicate charges, billing errors, and unauthorized charges reported promptly.
- No voluntary satisfaction or refund period is currently offered. Canceling stops future renewals; it does not refund charges already made.
To request review, contact hello@thefridayfive.org and include the account email, charge date, amount, and reason. Do not email full card numbers.
7. Price changes
We may change subscription prices. When required, we will provide advance notice by email, account notice, or another legally permitted method.
A price change will ordinarily apply to a future renewal rather than a completed billing period. The notice will explain the new price, effective renewal date, and cancellation method.
8. Plan changes
Upgrades, downgrades, or billing-cycle changes may take effect immediately or at the next renewal, as disclosed before confirmation. Any credits, prorations, or immediate charges will be displayed before the change is completed.
9. Suspension or termination by us
We may suspend or terminate a subscription for nonpayment, fraud, abuse, unlawful conduct, account sharing, security threats, or material violation of the Terms.
When a subscription is terminated for our convenience rather than user misconduct, we will provide any refund required by law and may provide a prorated refund for the unused period.
10. Marketing unsubscribe is separate
You may unsubscribe from marketing emails without canceling your paid subscription. We may still send transactional or service messages, such as receipts, security alerts, policy notices, and cancellation confirmations.
